A self-priming fuel transfer system. No matter where you are, this ultra compact system won’t leave you stranded for long. Throw away that length of gnarly old hose and safely siphon fuel from any gas-powered device without getting a mouthful of gas.
This is one siphon that doesn’t suck. Simply insert the self-priming end into any non-empty gas tank, and put the other end into the transferring container/carrying case (that works a heck of a lot better than a crinkled Mountain Dew can). A few up and down motions and you’ll be siphonin’ away. The handy stopper clip maintains siphoning even when in the “off” position, so there’s no need to begin the process all over again between container transfers to your tank. The included super soak towel quickly cleans up any excess spills and everything fits neatly back into the transfer container/carrying case. Yes, I do use our little face shield kit. And for some reason don’t miss the ’spray pump’ component. Over the last few years I've become more squeamish about using the filthy windshield cleaning tools in the dirty water out by the gas pumps. I was fine doing that for years but now what I do is take some of the paper towels off the pump island and jam them into my helmet and use the sink in the rest room to clean my helmet. This takes a little more time but at least I’m getting clean water. I don’t use the Protect-All wax (one bottle has windex and the other Protect-All) during the day. I usually apply a fresh coat at night after the day’s ride is over. My last trip was six road days and four motel nights (to-and-from NYC the slow way) so I did the wax treatment four times. When it rains on a Protect-All’d face shield it’s almost as good as Armor-All, and bug splats are also easier to remove.

In person John was simply and quietly outstanding and force-of-nature unstoppable. He was gentle, funny, strong, humble, kind, generous, self-aware, mischievous and absolutely indomitable. He was also — and by far — the very strongest, best and most accomplished long-distance endurance motorcycle rider in the world. He challenged himself to accomplish the impossible and did, again and again. This clear matte-surfaced tape provides fast, long lasting repairs on fabrics, vinyl, rubber, plastic, aluminum, etc. Its adhesive is far more aggressive than Duct Tape and yet removes without leaving a sticky residue. Waterproof and UV stabilized. Perfect for all kinds of emergencies (It’s even been used as an emergency inner tube patch…though not recommended). 3"×20", 1oz.

The grey TLTec Wind Pro model features a thick, dense 200 wt. wind resistant “super fleece” which is extremely breathable yet provides 4x better insulation and more draft resistance than common department store fleeces.
The blue TLTec Wind Blocker version is made with a slightly thinner and even more highly windproof 100 wt. fleece that offers 2X faster moisture wicking than other windproof fleeces, while retaining good breathability for all day comfort. It's also marginally more compact-to-pack. Because of its slightly more wind-blocking TL Tec, it also offers a bit higher insulation level (as measured in lab testing) than the noticeably thicker Wind Pro model.
Wear either as a cold weather comfort layer inside a Darien Jacket, or alone as a casual/off-bike jacket. Wherever you are going, both eliminate some of the weight and bulk of traditional liners, and both are equally long-use durable. They both feature a durable water repellent (DWR) finish to keep you drier and more comfortable thru the wettest conditions.
Either version will wear a good deal warmer than you'd expect on cool mornings, and both compliment a Darien jacket perfectly. With all new Darien jacket construction an optional zip-in liner zipper (#375) is available at no charge, but most wearers prefer to simply wear these together, without this complication.
